Pharmacogenomics: When MTM Gets Personal (Home Study)

Activity Preview

How do you genuinely change health outcomes through pharmacy—and accentuate your value on the health care team in the process? Increasingly, the answer lies in pharmacogenomics. By understanding how each patient metabolizes certain medications, pharmacists can individualize treatment approaches to improve patient outcomes.

This online learning activity will focus on practical strategies that can be used by pharmacists to provide pharmacogenomics services.

Learning Objectives

After participating in "Pharmacogenomics: When MTM Gets Personal (Home Study)", the pharmacist will be able to:

  1.      Discuss strategies to implement pharmacogenomics testing in various pharmacy practice settings.
  2.      Develop clinical recommendations for medication therapy management and care coordination based on pharmacogenomics data for a specific patient case.
