Join the APhA-APPM Compounding Special Interest Group for Six Steps to Compliance with USP <800>. This program is intended for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who compound or manage compounding services. The goal of this activity is to improve participants’ ability to implement USP Chapter <800> in their practice setting and maintain compliance with the new standard that will go into effect on December 1, 2019.
At the completion of this knowledge-based activity, participants will be able to:
1. Identify the role and responsibilities of the designated person.
2. Select which drugs should be included on a facility’s hazardous drug list.
3. List required policies and procedures.
4. Describe staff training and competency requirements.
5. Determine when an assessment of risk
