Activity Preview

Cardiovascular disease continues to be the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one of every four deaths is from heart disease. As evidence-based therapies to reduce cardiovascular events continue to emerge so has the complexity of selecting appropriate lipid-lowering therapy for patients. Health care providers can reference the 2018 American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association evidence-based recommendations for cholesterol management and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) reduction.

In this archived webinar, you will learn the latest in the use of statins and non-statins for ASCVD risk reduction, and how to identify patients who may be appropriate for treatment.
