The expansion of pharmacy-based immunization services has had a dramatic impact on improving immunization rates, and the integration of pharmacy technicians to support pharmacists has become integral to the success of these programs. This CPE activity discusses how pharmacy technicians can bring awareness to patients about vaccine availability, contribute to vaccine access, and aid in immunization service delivery.

  1. Explain the need for pharmacy technicians to support pharmacy-based immunization services.  
  2. Describe activities that pharmacy technicians can perform in support of immunization services.
