Are you an immunizing pharmacist, pharmacy technician or student pharmacist looking for current updates regarding adult and pediatric immunization schedules, newly licensed vaccines, and emerging vaccine technologies? APhA’s liaison member to the ACIP will present the latest information from the June 2020 ACIP Immunization Conference during this 1-hour CPE webinar. The speaker will schedule a significant block of time to address attendees' questions, and will provide recent updates pertaining to COVID-19. Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are encouraged to attend to stay abreast of recent immunization recommendations for U.S. populations.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this knowledge-based activity, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will be able to:

  • Identify how recent ACIP recommended changes may impact pharmacy practice.
  • Explain the reasons the ACIP recommendation was made, including changes in epidemiology of disease, data from clinical trials, newly available vaccines, or safety issues discovered.
  • Discuss newly available information regarding existing and emerging vaccines, shortages and availability of vaccines, safety concerns, and outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases.
