Are you an immunizing pharmacist or student pharmacist looking for current information pertaining to immunization schedules, newly licensed vaccines, and emerging vaccine technologies? The speaker for this archived webinar is APhA’s liaison member to the ACIP and presented the latest information from the October 23-24, 2019 ACIP Meeting held in Atlanta, Georgia.  

Pharmacists are encouraged to enroll in this archived education event to stay abreast of recent immunization recommendations that may have a significant impact on your practice and continuing education 

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this knowledge-based activity, pharmacists will be able to:

  1. Identify how recent ACIP recommended changes may impact pharmacy practice. 
  2. Explain the reasons the ACIP recommendation was made, including changes in epidemiology of disease, data from clinical trials, newly available vaccines, or safety issues discovered. 
  3. Discuss newly available information regarding existing and emerging vaccines, shortages and availability of vaccines, safety concerns, and outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases.

To obtain credit for completing October 2019 ACIP Immunization Update (Home Study), participants will need to watch the archived webinar, complete the assessment with a grade of 70% or better, complete the evaluation questions, and then CLAIM credit.
