At the completion of this knowledge-based activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe equianalgesic equivalents between different opioid medications.
  2. State accepted approaches to dose reductions when switching between different opioid medications to account incomplete tolerance.
  3. State accepted approaches to dose reductions when switching between immediate-release and extended-release/long-acting dosage formulations or transmucosal/transdermal/intravenous/oral dosage routes.
