15 on COVID-19 07/31/2020 - Dexamethasone

Activity Preview

After many case studies, non-controlled trials and randomized controlled trials, we finally have evidence that a medication is able to reduce the mortality association with COVID-19. What's more: the medication in question is dexamethasone - an older, widely-used, well studied medication that is both inexpensive and widely available. Join us for today's 15 on COVID-19 episode as we review the pharmacology of dexamethasone in COVID-19, and review the data to learn about the benefits and risks of dexamethasone in patients with COVID-19.
