Time's Up: Sexual Harassment in Pharmacy Practice

Activity Preview

Since October 2017, there has not been a single month that has gone by without a headline reporting of sexual misconduct in the workplace. Sexual harassment has emerged from every industry: Hollywood, music, news media, politics, gymnastics, sports, restaurant, opera, self-help, finance, and education. As more and more individuals come forward to report sexual harassment in the workplace, it’s important for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to know what they can do to create awareness, protect themselves and others, and have a plan in place to deal with inappropriate situations, including situations with patients. In this webinar, pharmacists with experience in the field will explain what sexual harassment is, provide personal accounts and examples of sexual harassment in pharmacy practice, and describe strategies that can be used to create a safer working environment.
