Could cannabis provide relief for certain neurological diseases? Researchers continue to explore the possibilities, with numerous studies underway to examine efficacy and safety. For those diseases in which cannabis has shown some benefit, there are still barriers to optimizing therapy. You will hear from experts in cannabis and the management of neurologic conditions. They’ll share current data and considerations for practical cannabis use to treat symptoms associated with common neurological disorders.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this knowledge-based activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the components of cannabis that may be useful in the treatment of neurological disorders and explore their potential mechanisms of action.
  2. Identify neurological disorders in which the usage of cannabis may be beneficial for patients.
  3. Demonstrate proper communication about the usage, benefits, drawbacks, and adverse effects of cannabis in patients with neurological disorders.
