Are you an immunizing pharmacist or student pharmacist looking for current information pertaining to immunization schedules, newly licensed vaccines, and emerging vaccine technologies? The speaker for this webinar is APhA’s liaison member to the ACIP and will present the latest information from the June 23-24, 2021 ACIP Meeting. Pharmacists are encouraged to attend this educational event to stay abreast of recent immunization recommendations that may have a significant impact on your practice and continuing education.
At the completion of this knowledge-based activity, pharmacists will be able to:
- Identify how recent ACIP recommended changes may impact pharmacy practice.
- Explain the reasons the ACIP recommendation was made, including changes in epidemiology of disease, data from clinical trials, newly available vaccines, or safety issues discovered.
- Discuss newly available information regarding existing and emerging vaccines, shortages and availability of vaccines, safety concerns, and outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases.

The American Pharmacists Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. To obtain credit for completing June 2021 ACIP Immunization Updates, participants will need to watch the archived webinar recording, complete the assessment with a grade of 70% or better, complete the evaluation questions, and then CLAIM credit.
